The defense ministers of the EU countries will make their first decision on creating joint army in November, reports Sputnik, based on the announcement of the German Defense Ministry spokesman. According to the source, the issue will be discussed at the ministerial meeting held in Brussels on November 15. The EU leaders will expresses their opinion on the overall concept of the joint army at the European Council meeting on 15-16 December .
Earlier the French and German Defense Ministers Jean-Yves Le Drian and Ursula von der Leyen submitted a proposal to the EU head Federica Mogerini. As the Süddeutsche Zeitung reports, the proposal includes establishment of a joint headquarters of the EU civil and military operations, a common system of satellite tracking , logistics and exchange of military medical resources.
